An open house will be held tomorrow at BoxoProjects in Joshua Tree for an artist-in residence. Reporter Rebecca Havely has your invitation…
Artist-in-Residence Megan Evans will hold an artist talk on Saturday, January 25. Open from 2 to 5 p.m. with the talk at 3 p.m. Evans is an Australian artist particularly concerned with climate change as she watches, from afar, as her country burns. Her latest body of work is entitled “Return”, ask for nothing but give everything in return. Evans says, “My work aims to articulate complexities associated with colonization.” Her imagery combines 19th century objects such as photographs, furniture and decorative arts with craft processes such as beading and needlepoint. BoxoPROJECTS is located at 62732 Sullivan Road in Joshua Tree.
