In Yucca Valley High School girls soccer, both teams won; varsity, 5-0, and JV, 1-0.
Coach Jolene Psaa said, “Last night was our last league game for the 2018-2019 soccer season. The girls played a strong game against rival team Twentynine Palms High. Prior to the game we honored our seniors; Faith Palmer, Alize Segura, Arlene Castro, Jade Arnhold, Orion Ricketts, Stefani Huff and Nicole Powell to wish them well in their future endeavors.
Vanessa Reyes kicked off the game by singing our national anthem and from there the girls hit the field running, in the rain once again! As a coach I could not have asked for a better event. The team exhibited true comradery and joy, both on the field and on the bench. I am proud of you all and look forward to future successes.”
In the varsity game, goals were scored by Rylee Nutter, Jade Arnhold, Nicole Powell, Orion Ricketts, and McKenna Larson. Assists were made by Rylee Nutter, and Nicole Powell made two.
In the junior varsity game, Raine Swan scored the only goal.
