The third Annual Baker’s Book Club is a joint initiative between the San Bernardino County libraries and the Baker’s Book Club to help promote reading among children and teens. Reporter Rebecca Havely has the details…
The third Annual Baker’s Book Club is a reading for rewards program exclusively at all of our San Bernardino County branch libraries. It’s in full swing now and will run through the weekend of November 19. The Club encourages youth to read and is perfectly timed to support students returning to school. To participate, sign up at any of the 32 San Bernardino County branch libraries. Participants must be between age 4 and 17, and a parent or guardian will need to sign to acknowledge reading progress. Each reading goal met is paired with a reward provided by Baker’s Drive Thru. Children who reach the level three reading goal will also be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy Tab A. The program inspires an excitement to read by providing achievable goals and encouraging a reading routine at home. For more information visit sbclib.org or call 909-387-2220.
