BODY OF A COACHELLA WOMAN FOUND NEAR HER STUCK CAR IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

A body found in Twentynine Palms yesterday has been identified as a Coachella woman. The body was spotted by a Twentynine Palms man driving on a nearby dirt road, who reported it to the Sheriff’s department. The County coroner said Thursday, June 15, at about 11:00 AM, the body of Deatrice Yunvondia Frierson, a 55-year-old resident of Coachella was found in the open desert east of Singing Sands Rd., a quarter mile north of the Twentynine Palms Highway in Twentynine Palms. Her car was found about 2 tenths of a mile to the east, stuck in soft sand. Examinations will be conducted in an attempt to determine the cause of death.
