Sheriff’s Deputies located a body on Friday (September 3) believed to be that of a missing Yucca Valley man. According to Sheriff’s reports, Michael Thomas Williams, 71, of Yucca Valley was reported missing on Tuesday (August 31) after Williams’ roommate reported he had not returned home. Sheriff canine and aviation teams conducted extensive area checks for Williams and issued critical missing persons reports. A new report from Sheriff’s Seargeant Scott Stafford confirms that Deputies located a body matching William’s description near the location where Williams went missing. The identity of the body is being withheld pending a death investigation and notification of next of kin.
