Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a body that was found in Wonder Valley Saturday. About 7:40 p.m., deputies were called to an area near Pinto Mountain Road and Highway 62 where the caller said human remains had been found on the north side of Highway 62. The remains were extremely decomposed and were found near a makeshift encampment. Deputies could not determine a cause of death due to the state of the body. The county coroner has not yet determined the cause of death, and identification of the body is still pending.
