BOB LEONE TO BE HONORED AT SATURDAY’S SUMMER CONCERT IN YUCCA VALLEY

At the last Yucca Valley summer concert on Saturday, the town will honor long-time councilmember Bob Leone, who has served the town of Yucca Valley for 20 years. Leone has announced that he is not seeking re-election in November to his seat. The Bob Leone Community Appreciation Night will include free refreshment, besides the free concert. Relive the fashions and dance music of the ‘70s with the sounds of the popular Swedish band, Abba. An Abba tribute band, AbbaFab, closes out the Yucca Valley summer concert series Saturday, August 11. Sing and dance along to such hits as “Waterloo,” “Mama Mia,” “Fernando,” “Take a Chance on Me,” and more. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and sit on the grass at the Yucca Valley Community Center ballfield. The gates open at 6:30 p.m.; the music starts at 7 p.m. Admission is free. Dogs are allowed on the upper soccer field only. The summer concerts are co-hosted by the town of Yucca Valley and Z107.7.
