Blood is desperately needed; a blood drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, October 11, at the Stater Bros. shopping center on the East end of Yucca Valley (58060 Twentynine Palms Hwy)
Donors will also have a chance to win a Southwest Airlines roundtrip air ticket to any US destination served by Southwest Airlines. Donors receive a pair of cancer awareness socks and a free mini-physical (including readings for blood pressure, pulse, cholesterol levels, iron level and temperature) with results being posted on the donor’s private online portal.
All blood donors must wear a face mask and undergo a COVID-19 health screening on arrival. All donors should be free of infections or illness, weigh at least 115 pounds, and not be at risk for AIDS or hepatitis. Donors will receive a free cholesterol screening and incentives.
