Desert Blood Services will conduct a community blood drive on Friday, September 19, at the Yucca Valley High School, 7600 Sage Avenue, from 8:30 to 2:30 p.m. Donors will receive incentives. In addition, Desert Blood Services offers donors a mini-physical and free cholesterol screening with every blood donation. All prospective donors must be at least 15 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and should be free of infections or illness. Donors who are 15 or 16 years old must provide written parental consent to make a blood donation.
