LifeStream will conduct a community blood drive on Saturday, September 30 at Wal-Mart in Yucca Valley from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Donors receive incentives. In addition, LifeStream offers donors free cholesterol screening with every blood donation. Prospective donors should be free of infections or illness, weigh at least 110 pounds, and not be at risk for AIDS or hepatitis. Donating blood takes about an hour, yet gives someone a lifetime.
