LifeStream blood bank in San Bernardino County is again facing a dangerously low blood shortage and is issuing an appeal for blood donations now. Hilary Sloane has the details on how you can donate blood…
Hospitals in San Bernardino County are experiencing blood shortages due to an increase in scheduled surgeries. LifeStream says it has less than a one-day supply of most blood types. Donors are tested for the COVID-19 antibodies, which could be used in the future for plasma donations. Appointments to donate blood are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. Donors must be at least 15 years of age, weigh at least 115 pounds, present current photo ID, and be in good health. To locate the nearest LifeStream collection site, including mobile blood drives, go to LStream.org or call 800-879-4484.
