A community meeting will be held by the Bureau of Land Management today to discuss a proposed communications tower for the Morongo Valley area.
The development project, which includes grading of access roads and ancillary facilities beyond the tower, is now in the 30-day public comment period while InterConnect awaits amendments to the California Desert Conservation Plan to “partially retain the existing character of the landscape,” according to a recent notice sent to residents.
The 30-day public comment period will close September 16th.
BLM will be hosting a meeting at 5:30 today at Covington Park’s multipurpose room to give residents the opportunity to learn more and discuss the project.
