Just 10 days after a Black Lives Matter sign was vandalized in Joshua Tree, a second Black Lives Matter sign was stolen in Yucca Valley. The temporary sign had been placed with permission on private property Saturday morning at the top of the Yucca Grade on the west end of Yucca Valley. By Monday morning, the sign had been stolen. On July 9, the first Black Lives Matter sign, that had been installed along the highway in downtown Joshua Tree, had been spray-painted with the word “HATE,” and white supremacist literature distributed at nearby businesses. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
