The St. Joseph’s Players of Yucca Valley opens “Biloxi Blues,” by Neil Simon, this Friday with a gala fundraiser benefiting two charities: the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life and the Gladys Carol Scholarship Program, Inc for local youth. Reporter Rebecca Havely tells you how to get tickets… Arrive at St. Joseph’s Church at 6 p.m. this Friday night for delicious heavy hors-d’oeuvres, themed for the play’s locale of Biloxi, Mississippi, catered by Kerry Jimenez. Bid on silent auction items and enter the door prize drawing. The play begins at 7 p.m. Dessert will be served at intermission and auction winners announced. Opening night tickets only are $25 each. The show will run two Friday nights at 7 p.m., opening night, May 15 and Friday, May 22; four Saturday nights at 7 p.m.: May 16, 23, 30, and June 6; with two Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m., May 31 and June 7. Tickets for all dates other than opening night are $11 for adults, $9 for seniors, military and students.
