BIKE RIDE FOR DISABILITY AWARENESS COMING THROUGH OUR COMMUNITIES TODAY

A group of 20 fraternity men and their support crew will be bicycling through our Morongo Basin today (June 17). The Journey of Hope South team are all members of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity who are cycling from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C. to raise awareness of people with disabilities. Each team member has committed to raising at least $6,000 to support those with disabilities. The bike riders are leaving Palm Springs this morning and plan to stay the night at Little Church of the Desert, 6079 Adobe Road, in Twentynine Palms. The bicycle team plans to ride an average of 75 miles per day to meet their goal of reaching Washington, D.C. on August 10.
