At last night’s meeting of the Bighorn Desert View Water Agency the Board approved a 5 percent increase in their compensation to $121.55. Also last night the board adopted a budget for fiscal 2016-17 which assumes a four-year rate increase of 5 percent or $1.34 on the basic monthly service charge and a 3 percent increase in consumption charges; that’s about 90 cents a month for the average household. And finally, the agency received a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association.
