Last night in Landers, directors at the Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency appointed incoming director John Burkhart to complete the term of board secretary, which was recently vacated by outgoing director Terry Burkhart. The Burkharts are married to each other. Also last night, the board approved new committee and meeting assignments through 2019, authorized $30,000 for the purchase of a flatbed equipment trailer, and formed an ad hoc committee to investigate purchase of a replacement pool vehicle. Those actions and more routine items on the consent agenda preceded director and general manager reports.
