At last night’s meeting of the Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency’s board of directors, most of the business was “procedural” with directors giving the go-ahead to taking initial steps on a number of important issues. The board reviewed and agendized for March proposed new service line installation fees for meters up to 10 inches. Also discussed were newly proposed customer class definitions, residential versus a pot farm for example, with the latter now expected to be classified as agricultural. Also, the board took initial steps in the process of ultimately consolidating the Goat Mountain and Bighorn-Desert View sections of the district.
Moving on, the board checked off the next step in preparation for an upcoming prop 218 rate increase public hearing.
And finally, the board passed a resolution to pursue the process of passing a five percent cost-of-living adjustment to director per diems.
