At last night’s special board meeting of the Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency, directors approved a resolution establishing that every individual working for the governing board, as a volunteer, or on a scholastic internship basis, will be deemed an agency employee for the purpose of providing workers compensation coverage. That action came at the request of the agency’s insurer. The only other board action last night was the authorization for the board to attend a upcoming program on transparency sponsored by the county’s Local Agency Formation Commission.
