Last night in Landers, directors received and filed the agency’s financial audit for fiscal 2018-2019 following a report by an independent auditor showing a modest increase in the water company’s net position with no irregularities and compliance to accepted accounting practices. The agency anticipates receipt of the prestigious Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting for the ninth consecutive year. In other business, directors authorized $51,600 in grant funds for testing of two wells in Flamingo Heights, and almost $18,000 for destruction of a Johnson Valley monitoring well that failed to produce water.
