The Bighorn Desert View Water Agency Board will hear opposition to the Cadiz water project when they meet tonight. Reporter Mike Lipsitz says they will also decide how to replace a parting Board member…
When the Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency Board of Directors meet tonight at 6 p.m. they’ll decide how to select a replacement for Director Dave Larson, who resigned last month because he is moving out of the district. Larson’s commitments will also be reassigned tonight, including his position as board secretary and Agency rep to the Homestead Valley Community Council. And in an information only presentation, the board will hear from Seth Shtier of the National Parks Conservation Association on the Cadiz Valley Water Conservation, Recovery and Storage Project. And finally, the Agency will receive a Certificate for Excellence in Financial Reporting from Government Finance Officers Association for the 2012 annual fiscal report. Tonight’s session is at Agency offices under the old water tower on Cherokee Trail in Landers.
