BIGHORN DESERT VIEW WATER DENIES CLAIM, DECLINES ASSESSMENTS LAST NIGHT

The Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency board of directors unanimously denied a claim filed by a former employee in a closed session meeting last night. In open session, General Manager Marina West said the board passed the budget and decided not to institute an annual assessment for customers in the Bighorn Mountains area; instead, the board voted to pay off its debt of $175,900 out of its reserve fund. The stand-by assessment for customers whose properties do not have water meters in the Goat Mountain area will remain unchanged.
