BIGHORN DESERT VIEW WATER CONSIDERS TAX LIENS FOR OVERDUE ACCOUNTS

Tonight is the first for the new second Tuesday meeting schedule for the Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency’s 6 p.m. meeting. Reporter Mike Lipsitz tells us what to expect…

Tonight the board is expected to reject all bids received for a tank rehabilitation project because all bids received were well in excess of the project budget. The board will revisit a scaled down project for which grant funds may be available. Also tonight, directors will authorize the first step on the way to placing seriously overdue accounts on the customer’s property taxes. The board will also consider an increase to the residential basic facilities charge for a 1-inch meter and a decrease in the residential service line installation fee. And finally, the appropriation limit for this fiscal year is expected to be announced this evening.
