The Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency will meet in special session today at 5 p.m. Following a closed session with legal counsel, the board is expected to approve changes to the employee handbook; adopt a drug and alcohol testing program for safety sensitive workers; and authorize $60,000 for the purchase of 90kw mobile generator for emergency power. Those items are in addition to routine items on the consent agenda. Tonight’s meeting takes place at the agency’s broad meeting office under the old water tower on Cherokee Trail in Landers.
