Last night In Landers, the Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency’s board voted to pursue purchase of two tax-defaulted properties in the district. Together, the properties list for under $9,000; the path to ownership takes about a year. Also last night, the board approved a 3 percent cost-of-living adjustment for all staff and a 2 percent increase to the general manager’s salary. And finally, directors approved a comprehensive policy on board member expenses.
