Following a closed session consultation with legal counsel on existing litigation, the board will consider initiating the process for giving themselves a five percent cost-of-living increase to their per diem payments for the coming fiscal year. In other actions, directors are expected to approve purchase of a replacement “pool vehicle,” give the go-ahead to finalize the planning phase for use of grant funds already awarded by the State Water Resources Control Board, and authorize board participation in two out-of-area events. Tonight’s meeting begins promptly at 6 p.m. at the agency’s board meeting office under the old water tower on Cherokee Trail in Landers. Reporting for Z107.7 News, this is Mike Lipsitz.
