Last night in Landers, the Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency Board of Directors voted 4 to 1 to grant themselves a $6 increase to $134. The vote followed a public hearing in which no one from the public offered input. Board president Mike McBride opposed the increase. Also last night, the board awarded Pac/West Engineering a contract for repaving portions of the administration parking lot on Jemez Trail, and approved board attendance at an upcoming county-wide water conference. Those items were in addition to regular reports and items on the consent agenda.
