The Bighorn Desert View Water Agency Board met in regular session last night. Reporter Mike Lipsitz was at the meeting and files this report…
At last night’s Board meeting of the Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency, directors authorized a 5 percent cost of living increase, bringing their per diem compensation to $115.76; they receive no benefits above the per diem. Also last night, directors approved purchase of John Deere backhoe at $152,000, ultimately to be paid from the Capital Replacement Fund expected to be handed over by County Special Districts when the annexation is complete. And among other actions, the board approved four resolutions for projects to be funded primarily—or in total—through grants from the Mojave Water Agency’s Integrated Regional Water Management Plan for Small Water Systems. That action clears the way for the agency to apply for the grants.
