BIGHORN DESERT VIEW WATER BOARD FACES A FULL AGENDA TONIGHT

The Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency will dispatch a number of items in Landers tonight. Reporter Mike Lipsitz tells us what to expect…
A full agenda promises a busy evening at tonight’s regular monthly meeting of the Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency. Among the items to be considered is an application to purchase two tax-defaulted properties in the district. Together, the properties list for under $9,000; both would benefit the Agency infrastructure. Also tonight, the board will consider a finance committee recommendation for a 3 percent cost-of-living adjustment for all staff and a 2 percent increase to the general manager’s salary. The board will also likely approve a comprehensive policy on board member expenses. Those items and others proceed reports from management and the board. It all starts at 6 p.m. at the agency’s board meeting office under the old water tower on Cherokee Trail in Landers.
