The Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency Board of Directors will hold the monthly board meeting at 6 p.m. tonight. Among items up for consideration is adoption of the agency’s budget for fiscal year 2018/2019 which includes a five percent increase to customer’s basic monthly service charge and a three percent increase to consumption charges—both adjustments part of a package of annual increases that were approved in 2016. Those items and others will follow a closed session conference with legal counsel in connection with anticipated litigation involving a former employee. It all happens at the agency’s board meeting office under the old water tower on Cherokee Trail in Landers.
