Pickup trucks, road maintenance, grants and finances—those are the topics of concern at tonight’s meeting of the Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency. Reporter Mike Lipsitz has details…
The Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency’s regular fourth Tuesday board meeting happens at 6 p.m. tonight. On the agenda, the board will consider replacement of a 4×4 Dodge pickup, receive information on a state Water Resources Control Board Planning Grant, receive and file the fiscal 2016-17 financial audit, and weigh in on a county-proposed hike in the road maintenance service charge borne by Flamingo Heights property owners. The final decision on the proposed increase will be determined following tabulation of mail-in ballots due to the county by November 14. Those items are in addition to routine items on the consent agenda and reports from the staff and general manager. It all happens at the agency’s board meeting office under the old water tower on Cherokee Trail in Landers.
