The Bighorn Desert View Water Agency Board of Directors holds the regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. tonight. Tonight’s is an ambitious agenda including several public hearings, the first of which is to gather input on placing property liens on delinquent accounts. A second public hearing will gather input on proposed rate increases on basic consumption and service charges over the next four years. Also tonight, the board will evaluate the survey choices on the county’s road maintenance assessment survey; this is an exercise the majority of residents in Landers and Flamingo Heights have been considering recently. And under information items, the board will look at refinancing options for the general obligation bond for the Morongo Basin Pipeline from Mojave Water Agency. These items and others all under consideration under the old water tower on Cherokee Trail in Landers.
