The Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency Board of Directors will hold a Special Meeting at 6 p.m. tonight in place of the regular monthly meeting on June 28; that meeting has been cancelled. Tonight, directors will consider a motion to cover fire protection and $500 worth of pyrotechnics at Lander’s ”Third of July” celebration at Homestead Valley Park. Also tonight, the board will likely identify and prioritize projects for the Mojave Water Agency’s water plan for the region. Among other actions, we can expect the board will establish the Appropriation Limit and set the Ad Valorem Tax for the upcoming fiscal year. Tonight’s session is at Agency offices under the old water tower on Cherokee Trail in Landers.
