BIGHORN DESERT VIEW WATER AGENCY CANDIDATE FORUM TONIGHT

The Bighorn Desert View Water Agency will hold a candidates’ forum as part of their board meeting tonight. Reporter Mike Lipsitz tells you who will be there…
Voters in Landers and Flamingo Heights can hear from the three candidates running for two open board seats at the Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency at tonight’s meeting of the Flamingo Heights Community Association. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. with a potluck; bring a dish to share, or pay $6 for the optional dinner. The candidate forum will begin at 6:45 with brief statements from incumbents Larry Coulombe and Mike McBride, and contender David Riley Ray. A question and answer period will follow. For Landers residents newly annexed from county water, the November 3 election represents their first opportunity to take part in selecting the agency’s policy-making board. The Flamingo Heights Community Building is on Perris Road off Highway 247 and behind the new La Copine restaurant.
