Earlier this week, the water district that serves Landers and Flamingo Heights held its regular monthly meeting. Reporter Mike Lipsitz has this report on what happened…

At Tuesday night’s regular meeting of the Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency, the board voted 4 to 1 to initiate the process for adding a cost-of-living increase to their per diem payments. Board president Mike McBride opposed that action. Far from a done deal, the amount of any increase is yet to be determined and would follow a public hearing and a future board approval. Directors also approved agency representation at two upcoming water-related meetings. That action followed a discussion of the cost and budget for such meetings.
