The water agency serving Landers and Flamingo Heights meets tonight. Reporter Mike Lipsitz tells us what to expect…
Tonight’s meeting of the Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency Board is a fortnight earlier than usual because of the Christmas holiday. So following a closed session with legal counsel, the board is expected to vote on a board secretary to fill the seat vacated by Terry Burkhart whose retirement from the board began in earnest last month. Also tonight, the board is expected to adopt committee and meeting assignments through 2019, authorize $30,000 for the purchase of a flatbed equipment trailer, form an ad hoc committee to investigate purchase of a replacement pool vehicle, and dispatch routine items on the consent agenda. It all starts at 6 p.m. at the agency’s board meeting office under the old water tower on Cherokee Trail in Landers.
