For the second year in a row, the Big Read will return to the Morongo Basin. The Big Read is month-long community event where residents read the same book and participate in related discussions and events. Reporter Heather Clisby has the details…
Arts Connection, the Arts Council of San Bernardino County, is among 84 organizations nationwide that will receive a National Endowment For The Arts Big Read Grant. The community-wide reading project will take place September 12 and through October 12.
The 2020 Big Read will focus on the book, “Lab Girl,” by geobiologist Hope Jahren. The program will include panel discussions, theatrical performances, traditional book discussions, workshops, poetry readings and K-6 and university programs. In light of COVID-19, some Big Read programs may be shifted online and in-person events will implement social distancing.
