The NEA Big Read Morongo Basin is a community-wide program of free online events based on the themes of featured book. This year’s book is “Lab Girl” by Hope Jahren, which explores theme of art, love and science.
In support of the book, Harrison House will partner with the Big Read on Bringing Together Art & Science To Study Joshua Trees, an online event on October 4 at 10 am. Harrison House Director Eva Soltes will lead a conversation with Dr. Juniper Harrower, an ecologist and multi-media artist, on the melding of two approaches to the iconic Joshua Tree. Dr. Harrower will also discuss her research on the impact of climate change on the Joshua Trees.
