The entrance to Big Morongo Canyon Preserve was damaged during Thursday’s storm and is inaccessible to most vehicles. As a result, the gate to the preserve is closed, but visitors may still enter the preserve through the pedestrian gate at nearby Covington Park. The park is conducting trail assessments and will post updates if any trails are closed.
