BICYCLIST ARRESTED AFTER THEFTS FROM WAL-MART

Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man Friday afternoon after thefts from Wal-Mart. According to a Sheriff’s report, James Spencer, 29, rode a black mountain bike to Wal-Mart, and while in the store, concealed electronics and bike parts in his pockets and waist band. The report states he then left the store on his bicycle, riding southbound on Palomar Avenue. Deputies located Spencer near Pueblo and Palisade Avenues. During a search of Spencer, deputies located the stolen merchandise as well as three concealed dirks or daggers in his front pocket. James Spencer was arrested for investigation of possession of a dangerous weapon, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $25,000.
