A Twentynine Palms man was arrested early Monday morning after he fled from deputies. Just before 2:30 a.m., deputies attempted to stop Sage Ramirez, 26, for riding a bicycle at night without a light, near Highway 62 and Ocotillo Avenue. Ramirez fled from deputies but was arrested after a a short pursuit. Deputies found a large, 18-inch knife concealed in Ramirez’s backpack, as well as drug paraphernalia and suspected heroin. Sage Ramirez was arrested for investigation of possession of a dangerous weapon, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $25,000.
