BEAUTY AND CULTURE EXHIBITION OPENING AT HI-DESERT NATURE MUSEUM

A new exhibition opens tomorrow at the Hi-Desert Nature Museum in Yucca Valley. Reporter Derwood Andrews invites you to an exhibition on body art called, “Beauty and Culture…”
A new temporary exhibition on Body Art, runs from now until March 1, at the Hi-Desert Nature Museum. “Eye of the Beholder: Beauty and Culture” explores the many reasons that people embellish their bodies with paint, scars, tattoos, make up and much more, through human history up to the present day. On Thursday, January 19, anthropologist Lynne Richardson will present a curator’s lecture on the subject, starting at noon.
