The Twentynine Palms Youth Club will hold a Beat the Heat Bicycle Ride Saturday, May 18, beginning at Luckie Park. Four rides will be offered: 3, 7, 15, and 45 miles. The 45-mile ride begins at 7:30 a.m., with each shorter ride beginning 30 minutes later. Riders can pre-register at the youth club, or starting at 7 a.m. on Saturday. Fees are $25 for children up to age 12; $35 for 13 and up. Prizes and t-shirts will be awarded. For more information, call 760-367-5776 or stop by the Youth Club in Luckie Park from 2 to 6 p.m.
