Pokemon-Go is a new augmented reality game you play on your phone, and it has taken the country by storm, More than 7 ½ million people have downloaded the game to their smart phones in the last 11 days. Since then, there have been multiple reports of people falling off cliffs, walking into traffic, and being victimized, all while playing the game. Officials at the Twentynine Palms Combat Center have also released guidelines for Marines, sailors, and civilians who are playing the game on the base. Players are urged not to play at inappropriate times; they should not enter unauthorized training areas or buildings, especially barracks rooms; they should not play while driving; they should pay attention to their surroundings; and, they should not play the game at the base’s live-fire ranges. All these are rules that can be transferred to residents off base as well.
