BACK-TO-SCHOOL DAY, FREE BACK PACKS, IN JOSHUA TREE THIS FRIDAY

At the community back-to-school day, kids will get free back packs to start off a successful school year. The event takes place Friday, August 4, from 9 a.m. until noon at the JT Sportsman’s Club, 6225 Sunburst Avenue in Joshua Tree. Many service representatives from local community service programs will also be available including dental screenings and info and sign up for school lunch programs, plus information on transitional age youth and family services, domestic violence services and homeless or displaced student and family services. Students must be present for the back pack give-a-way.
