After pausing for the holiday, Caltrans is back at work on Highway 62. Beginning today, (November 29), through Thursday (December 2), construction will be going eastbound from Camino Del Cielo Trail to Yucca Mesa Rd. between 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Work going westbound, in the same area, will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Additionally, beginning today through Sunday (December 5), crews will be working in Joshua Tree to dig out and seal the highway. Crews will be working intermittently on eastbound and westbound lanes from 8 p.m. to 2 p.m. the next day from Yucca Mesa Rd. to Carodean Rd. This will be a flagging operation that alternates one-way traffic each day.
