Yucca Valley Art Festival Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 2PM

The Yucca Valley Art Festival kicks off Saturday (11/16) and runs all weekend long. Put on by the Yucca Valley Chamber of Commerce, the art festival will feature one-of-a-kind handcrafted items and fine art for sale. Expect metal and wood sculptures, ceramics, glass, yard art, even unique clothing and custom jewelry. The art festival begins tomorrow at 10 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m, with the same hours on Sunday (November 17) Yucca Valley Chamber of Commerce on Facebook

29 Palms Combat Center Alliance holding community reach out event on Saturday (11/16)

The Yucca Valley High School wrestling team opened their season this week with some really big wins. On Tuesday (November 12), they wrestled Shadow Hills High School in a non-league dual. A motorcycle rider was killed in a collision in Yucca Valley yesterday (November 13). Just before 8:30 yesterday morning, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a traffic collision near the intersection of Onaga Trail and Elata Ave in Yucca Valley. The Sheriff’s department said that there was a collision involving a motorcycle and a truck, but further details were not available as of this morning. Suspected drug and weapon possession charges for a Joshua Tree man during “vehicle check”

A man was arrested on suspicion of possessing weapons and drugs during an early morning vehicle check in Joshua Tree. Yesterday at 3:45 a.m., the County Sheriff’s deputies with the Morongo Basin Station made contact with a man sitting in a parked vehicle near Hallee Rd. and Verbena Rd. in Joshua Tree.
