CULTURAL CENTER SEEKING DONATIONS

The Hi-Desert Cultural Center has unveiled an ambitious fund-raising campaign to finish the restoration of their theater. Reporter Mike Lipsitz has the challenge... FREE MEAL IN TWENTYNINE PALMS TOMORROW

Breaking Bread Ministry in Twentynine Palms is serving up a free meal and fellowship tomorrow from 3 to 5 at the Little Church of the Desert Community Hall. On the menu is chili, cornbread, and dessert. The meal is prepared and served up by the Twentynine Palms High School Interact Club.

FREE BREAKFAST IN JOSHUA TREE

Joshua Tree Community United Methodist Church will provide a free community breakfast buffet tomorrow and every Saturday morning from 9 to 10 a.m.. Clothing, shoes, coats and blankets are free to those in need as supplies last. The community is invited. The church is located at 6213 East Parkway in Joshua Tree.

BREAKFAST AT COPPER MOUNTAIN MESA TOMORROW

Tomorrow is the first Saturday breakfast at the Copper Mountain Mesa Community Association on Winters Road in North Joshua Tree. Breakfast is served from 8 to 11 and is still only $4.50 per person. Friendly volunteer neighbors dish up eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, biscuits and gravy – coffee and juice are included. As always, breakfast comes with a heapin' helpin' of fellowship and good cheer.

A 2012 MORONGO BASIN WISH LIST

Morongo Basin residents responded to a question we asked on the Z107.7 Facebook page, Morongo Basin Broadcasting. With the New Year, we asked our thousands of friends what they would like to see most in our desert communities. Among the most responses was a wish to see the former Blue Skies Country Club in Yucca Valley restored as a community golf course.
