TWO POWER OUTAGES SATURDAY ABOARD TWENTYNINE PALMS MARINE BASE

There will be two separate power outages affecting the Combat Center on Saturday, July 21. The first outage, from 5 a.m. to approximately 8:30 a.m., will interrupt power to the entire Combat Center with the exception of the Ocotillo Heights housing area. RECENT PRISON RELEASEE ARRESTED FOR FAILING TO REPORT

A recently released Twentynine Palms felon was arrested early Tuesday morning for failing to report to his probation officer, a woman with him was arrested for harboring a parolee. Dustin Sansoucie, 22, convicted of petty theft in June 2011, was released from the state prison in Chino recently under AB109, the State Prison Realignment Plan. Joshua Tree firefighters responded to a call of a mattress fire inside a duplex home yesterday. According to Captain Steve Lasiter, a neighbor in the 62000 block of Mountain View Circle spotted the fire burning a mattress inside the home and used a garden hose to spray water on the fire through the open bedroom window. MORONGO VALLEY BOIL ADVISORY LIFTED

A boil advisory for a portion of Morongo Valley has been lifted, The advisory was issued by the County after a mainline rupture Tuesday depleted a reservoir. As a precaution, residents of County Special Service Area 70 W-3 were advised to boil their water until testing could ensure it was safe.
