A Joshua Tree man who is supposed to be going through a year-long program for domestic violence was arrested over the weekend after an altercation with a neighbor. According to a police report, Donovan Hayes, 42, went to a neighbor's house in the 62400 block of Twentynine Palms Highway in Joshua Tree about 4:30 p.m. The neighbor told police that Hayes pushed her uncle down and pushed her into a wall. Three people were arrested in Luckie Park in Twentynine Palms Saturday morning. According to Sheriff's Sergeant Trevis Newport, three people looked out of place in the park and the patrolling deputy made a pedestrian check shortly before noon and found drugs and a concealed weapon. A Yucca Valley man was arrested early Saturday morning, accused of breaking into a house and stealing some guns. A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Sunday, accused of sex crimes against a 12-year-old girl. According to a Sheriff's report, the girl was on the couch when Anthony Martinez, 24, who is a relative of the victim, started kissing and fondling her, despite her protests to stop. Anthony Martinez was interviewed at the Sheriff's station where he was arrested for investigation of sex crimes against a child under 14. He was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $250,000.
